Quick Start for Candidates

This guide helps you get started with your application on BrightStep.

Step 1: Access the application portal

Your institution will provide you with a link to their application portal. This link is typically shared via:

  • The institution's website
  • Email communications
  • Promotional materials

Click the link to access the application portal.

Step 2: Create your account

  1. Click Create Account or Sign Up
  2. Choose your sign-in method:
    • Email — Enter your email address and verify it with a one-time code
    • Google, Microsoft, or Apple — Sign in using your existing account
  3. Complete your basic profile information
  4. Accept the terms and conditions

Step 3: Select your program

  1. Browse the available programs for the current admissions cycle
  2. Review program details, requirements, and deadlines
  3. Click Apply to begin your application

Depending on the institution, you may be able to apply to multiple programs.

Step 4: Complete your application

Your application consists of several steps. Common steps include:

  • Personal information — Fill out forms with your details
  • Documents — Upload required files such as transcripts, identification, and motivation letters
  • Payment — Pay the application fee using the available payment methods
  • Interview — Schedule and attend a video interview if required

Step 5: Track your application status

Monitor your application progress by logging into the portal:

  • In Progress — You are still completing application steps
  • Submitted — All required steps are complete
  • Under Review — The admissions team is evaluating your application
  • Accepted / Rejected / Waitlisted — A decision has been made

You will receive notifications when your status changes.

Tips for a successful application

  • Start early — Do not wait until the deadline to begin
  • Prepare documents in advance — Ensure files are in the correct format and within size limits
  • Complete steps promptly — Some steps require approval before you can continue
  • Check your email — Important updates and requests will be sent to your registered email
